1. Vegetative characteristics.
Medium vigorous variety, semi-erect bearing with only female flowers. Wide oval-shaped buds, with an average budding date on the 4th April (+13 days compared to ‘Bright Red’). The leaves are broad elliptical in shape, with a wide acute base and an acuminate apex. Their average length and width are 12.42 cm and 8.35 cm, respectively (length/width ratio: 1.49).
2. Flowering.
Average date of full flowering on May 1st (- 4 days compared to ‘Bright Red’). The flowers have a corolla with an average diameter of 12,59 mm, four lobes with a regular rhombic and cruciform calyx.
3. Characteristics of the fruit.
According to the type of astringency at the time of commercial ripening, it is a PCNA type variety. Average date of commercial ripening is October 27th (-2 days compared to ‘Bright Red’). Average fruit weight 124.03 g, average size 69.19 mm, length/width ratio 0.63. Flattened fruit with a square cross-section. In its longitudinal section the apex is bucket- truncated, with a moderate groove in it and without concentric cracking around the apex or cracking of the area of the same. Medium longitudinal groove. The calyx is practically at the same level, with no grooves or cracks at its end. The size of the calyx in relation to the diameter of the fruit is medium and its bearing is horizontal. At commercial ripening, the skin colour is orange and the flesh is yellowish orange.
