1. Vegetative characteristics.
Medium vigorous variety, semi-erect bearing and with only female flowers. Wide oval-shaped buds, with an average budding date on the 10th April (+19 days compared to ‘Bright Red’). The leaves are broad elliptical in shape, with a wide acute base and an acuminate apex. Their average length and width are 10.34 cm and 6.23 cm, respectively (length/width ratio: 1.66).
2.Flowering.
Average date of full bloom on May 8th (+3 days compared to ‘Bright Red’). The flowers have a corolla with an average diameter of 17,28 mm, usually with four lobes and an irregularly shaped calyx.
3. Characteristics of the fruit.
According to the type of astringency at the time of its commercial ripening, it is a PVA type variety. Average date of commercial ripening is on 21st November (+23 days compared to ‘Bright Red’). Average fruit weight 140.37 g, average size 68.27 mm, length/width ratio 0.66. Flattened fruit with a square cross-section. In its longitudinal section, the apex is rounded, with a moderate groove in it. No concentric cracking around the apex or cracking in the area of the apex itself. Very marked longitudinal groove. The calyx is slightly depressed, with no groove at its end. The size of the calyx in relation to the diameter of the fruit is large and its bearing is semi-erect. At commercial ripening the colour of the skin is orange and the flesh is yellowish-orange.
